| 6-09-08 ~ Day room proves success Engine 1 add on for STRUCTURAL COLLAPSE While Engine ones crew was enjoying the new day room when N.C.C.C starting dropping borough tones, the crew ran to the engine to begin response, Local alarm on the 3-1 box for Company 2 R5 E3 was alert to the area of 5th and Oak streets for a reported structural collapse to the old Gusty's building that was abandoned from and old fire . Engine 1 advised NC that they would be responding on the call for additional manpower. Engine 1 first on scene, did a quick 360 and evacuated the restaurant next door. Chief 2 established command as units arrived the area was evacuated and areas of oak and 5th streets were shut down in the area of the collapse zone.
